The Machine can manufacture nuts quickly. First, cut a piece of metal wire, grasp it, and then move it to multiple workstations. At each workstation, powerful punches and dies hammer or press the blanks into shape. First, flatten the head, then form the tip or chamfer, and finally form the basic shape of the nut, ready for thread processing. This is a noisy yet rhythmic process.
The Nut Forming Machine in the factory workshop does not merely produce one type of nut. According to the mold and tooling configuration, it can produce hexagonal nuts, square nuts, flange nuts, and even special-shaped nuts, such as cap-shaped nuts. It manufactures the basic shapes of nuts - the head shape, the tip and the chamfer. Usually, thread processing is completed later on a separate machine, but some advanced models may combine multiple operations together.
Inside the Machine, you will find several key components working together. It includes wire straightening machines and feeding machines, which are used to pull out raw materials from the coils. Then, the cutting mechanism cuts the billet. The core is the multi-station forming head or conveying system. It moves the blank between different dies and punches, and each impact gradually forms a nut shape under huge pressure.
Running the Nut Forming Machine is not just about pressing a button. Operators need to monitor continuously. Check the wire feeding situation, listen for abnormal noises, observe whether there is any blockage, and inspect the sample nuts for defects such as cracks or shape errors. Lubrication is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of punches and dies and preventing wear. Molds will wear out over time and need to be replaced or repaired.
